Why a Virtual Studio?

FIT4MOM values community care above all else, and we want to do our part in “flattening the curve” of potential new cases of the Covid-19/coronavirus. Flattening the curve means reducing the speed with which new people are contracting the virus, which allows our healthcare system to keep up and care for those who need it most.

By moving our classes virtual, we are able to continue to offer you amazing workouts fit for Motherhood along with a safe space to connect with your village in this time of social distancing.

WHAT DO I NEED FOR CLASS?

A digital device with ZOOM (free in the app store or computer), plenty of water, towel or yoga mat/blanket, weights or a resistance band. We will ship you a resistance band with paid membership.

I just had a baby, when can I join Stroller Strides/Stroller Barre?

You can begin attending class with your doctor's clearance to begin exercising, typically after your six week postpartum appointment. "See" you there, Mama!

Can I attend classes if I am pregnant?

Absolutely! We encourage expectant moms to continue to exercise throughout their pregnancies as long as everything has been approved by their physician. Instructors are qualified to lead our professionally designed pre/postnatal fitness programs that follow the latest American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) guidelines. We can modify any exercise that poses a challenge as you progress through your pregnancy. FIT4MOM® recommends you obtain your doctor’s approval prior to beginning any FIT4MOM program. If pregnant, please speak with your physician before your first day.

Exercise during pregnancy has proven beneficial and helps improve or increase the following:

  • Cardiovascular fitness

  • Muscular strength/endurance

  • Energy levels

  • Higher fatigue threshold

  • Posture and biomechanics

  • Circulation

  • Self-esteem, sense of well-being

  • Recovery time

Can I try a class before I join?

Do I need a stroller for the workout?

Strollers (and kids) are not required to join our virtual workouts. While we are still offering stroller-based classes, the formats are slightly different than our in-person classes. Our virtual workouts give you a quick 30-45 minute burst of cardio and strength exercises and eliminate the travel portion of our 60-minute classes.

What do I do with my kids?

There are a lot of options for your kiddos! Options vary based on age.

  • Have them “working out” next to you on their own mat
  • Keep kiddo in stroller, car seat carrier, floor mat, on couch, or any special seat (maybe start this way and have other options available when they’re finished sitting)
  • Let kiddo push baby doll stroller during planned class and actively participate as much or as little as they'd like with their babydoll/stuffed animal.
  • Keep them busy nearby with coloring books, books, puzzles, stickers, craft, play-doh, or other novelties you don’t dish out often
  • Babies educational screen time/music- tv, tablet, etc.
  • Send them outside for a nice long walk with your partner
  • If you have a yard, let them run and play while you exercise outside and soak up the sun
  • Try to time your workout during nap time

Will the workouts be recorded?

Yes! We understand that working out at home with the kids home is difficult - which is why moms LOVE our in-person classes at FIT4MOM. In our in-person classes, kids are in their stroller and seeing their friends, interacting with the instructor, and getting strolled around often. This is why we shortened the workouts (but are still offering two a day so you can get a full hour in, broken up throughout the day, if you want to!) and we are also recording them, so if you need to stop during the workout or can't make the live times, you can tune in any time of day and get your body moving!

Can my children participate?

While our regular in-person classes do not allow kids to be out of the strollers (for their safety and yours!), we encourage kids and other family members to get involved at home. The kids are always watching! Plus, for our bigger kids, working out with mom is a great option for their at-home PE.

Can I bring kids to Body Back?

No. This class is for women 18 and up without children present.

Can I do Body Back if I am pregnant?

No. This workout is not intended for prenatal exercise and we do not recommend following the meal plans during pregnancy. If you become pregnant during the course of your Body Back session, please notify your instructor. We offer FIT4BABY, Stroller Strides, and Stroller Barre as appropriate prenatal exercise programs.

What do I need to bring to class?

A yoga mat or towel for the abs portion and cool down. A resistance band (we will provide one for you on your first day of class), plenty of water, and a towel for your sweat. You WILL sweat!

What is the workout like?

Body Back is a high-intensity interval training class that is delivered in one of three ways: Rounds, Circuit or Traveling. We cycle through Cardio, Strength and Core for a full-body workout that provides a significant caloric afterburn for enhanced results. Every class has an intention and finishes with a relaxing meditation.

Do I need to be in great shape to participate in class?

No. We have all fitness levels in our classes! But, we will warn you ... these classes are designed to be tough! Our goal is to deliver a workout that will challenge any fitness level. It might not be easy, but we promise results by the end of your 8 week session if you put in the work!

What makes Body Back and the Fit4Mom Programs different from the gym?

Body Back is so much more than just another HIIT workout! We are a community of moms where you will find support, encouragement, camaraderie and lifelong friendships. Through education, we help you create a healthier home and more active lifestyle for your family. We believe you should be empowered and encouraged to push past your perceived limits and find inner strength while building physical strength. We strive to build you up and put you first to create your BEST YOU.

Do I need to Pre-Register or can I just show up?

For BODY BACK Transformation sessions, pre-register to ensure your spot in the class. Body Back sessions sell out quickly, so you want to hold your spot by registering early.

For BODY BACK Workout classes or drop-in classes, pre-register so your instructor knows to expect you and can contact you if there are any changes to the class. We require a minimum number of clients to be enrolled in order to offer that class. If you cannot make it to class, you need to cancel with at least 24 hours notice or you will be charged for the class.

What does my Membership include?

Your membership includes unlimited classes at any of the FIT4MOM Tampa Bay locations (excludes FIT4MOM Largo and FIT4MOM New Tampa). We also offer special incentives for our other programs (Body Back, FIT4BABY) to our members if you are interested. Membership also includes being a member in our closed Facebook group, weekly playgroups, monthly Moms’ Night Outs and more!

How do I place my membership on hold or cancel it?

Please fill out this form to change or cancel your membership. All requests need to be received in writing 14 business days before the next payment is due. Memberships will be placed on hold for the maximum of 4 months.

When can I place my membership on hold or cancel it?

Holds can start any day of your billing cycle. Our system auto-prorates your membership upon release of your hold. There are no refunds on dues once payment has been paid. To avoid payment, all requests need to be received in writing 14 business days before the next payment is due.

How do I change my return date on my hold?

You can return from your hold on any day of the month. You can let your instructor know you want to take your membership off hold. If you are not ready to come off hold and just want to drop-in, you will be charged the hold attendance rate with the credit card on file.

What is the fee to place a membership on hold?

For all memberships: There is a no fee to place your membership on hold. Memberships can be placed on hold for up to 4 months.

Can I attend classes when my membership is on hold?

For Stroller Strides memberships: When your membership is on hold you can attend classes at the drop-in rate of $10class.

Your credit card on file will be charged automatically.

What is the enrollment fee for a membership?

For Stroller Strides memberships:

  • There is a $79 enrollment fee for all new monthly memberships. If you sign up for membership at your trial class will get $25 off your enrollment fee.

  • If you cancel your membership and then wish to rejoin, you pay a $25 reactivation fee to rejoin.

  • Stroller Strides members who transfer to us from another franchise outside will be charged a $40 enrollment fee.

How do I update my credit card on file?

To update your credit card on file:

  • Log into your Pike13 account

  • Below your profile photo you will see a list of options

  • Click on "Payment Methods"

  • Update the information

  • Click “Save”

  • Be sure to delete the old credit card on file

If your monthly dues payment fails and you do not respond to our emails to update your credit card info within 7 business days of the due date, your membership will be cancelled. A $25 reinstatement fee will be charged to start back up.

Who do I contact with questions about my membership?

If you ever have any questions on your membership, you can email tampabay@fit4mom.com or call us at 855-534-8666.

Is my membership transferable to another franchise location?

No. Memberships are only valid for the franchise where they were purchased. If you move to an area outside of our franchise, you will need to cancel your current membership and sign up for a membership at the new franchise. We encourage you to contact the franchisee where you are moving to and let them know you have a current FIT4MOM membership at another franchise.
