As we move in to World Breastfeeding Week, we want to highlight the incredible local resources available to help you thrive in your breastfeeding journey, if that's the path you choose!
World Breastfeeding Week, celebrated from August 1-7, is a global initiative aimed at promoting breastfeeding and offering support to breastfeeding mothers. It’s a time to recognize the benefits of breastfeeding and to ensure that mothers have access to the support they need to succeed.

BayCare Breastfeeding Support
If you're planning to breastfeed your baby, St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital has certified lactation consultants available to make your breastfeeding experience a successful one. And our staff of well-trained nurses also offer lactation support 24 hours a day.
Community Roots Collective Support Group
At The Roots, we offer community events, parent workshops, educational trainings, play groups, prenatal yoga, mama circles, wellness and more. We also have many services and resources available on a daily basis in house.
USF Lactation & Breastfeeding Support
At USF Health, we are committed to giving support to moms learning or having difficulty breast feeding their baby. We host a breast feeding support group twice monthly, so moms can share their concerns and our health care providers and breastfeeding specialists can provide much needed information and guidance as needed.
